T.A.U.

The Tactical Air Unit (also called the Tactical Aviation Unit) provides support to patrol officers to improve the safety of our citizens by taking flight in a helicopter during patrol operations. T.A.U. operates an aircraft for traffic control, ground support, search and rescue, high-speed car pursuits, observation, air patrol and control of large-scale public events and/or public order incidents. This tactical advantage of being in the air allows the police department to enhance their intelligence and operations on various situations. During a vehicle pursuit, T.A.U. can immobilize and engage in the pursuit. By having areal view of the pursuit, patrol officers can can back off from the suspect to a safer distance. T.A.U. is also put into use during S.W.A.T.situations. Transporting and landing S.W.A.T. personnel in high risk situations exemplify T.A.U.'s use in clan operations. Members who operate under this division are given specified training and instructions in operating aircraft vehicles while in clan related events.
